RESEARCH TOPICS
Computational modeling and simulation of bioinorganic nanodevices for drug delivery, imaging, targeting and cancer therapy. Our expertise spans from quantum mechanical (QM) calculations based on density functional theory (DFT) to molecular mechanics (MM) calculations with atomistic and coarse-grained approaches, including multiscale modeling. We are currently interested in metal and metal oxide nanoparticles, carbon-based nanostructures, polymer coating and functionalization of nanoparticles, active targeting mechanisms and biomembranes permeation.
